a beautiful day on the Potomac... in the distance is historic Leesylvania, birthplace and home of "Light-Horse Harry" Lee (father of Robert E.)
addendum: you know, i really couldn't think of the best way to comment on this photo. honestly, i posted it because of the opposing textures and colors. i love the contrast of the white and scarlet cracked vinyl overlayed by the loops of rope and the timber frame of the pier. the lovely background was the icing on the cake. :-)
